The MAPLE, SPGPrints' market-leading CO2 direct laser engraving system, sets a new benchmark in the textile industry. It meets all industry demands with its strong performance and sustainable workflow, ensuring high-quality printing results without water consumption.
MAPLE CO2 direct laser engraver, improved evolution of bestLEN, helps engraving high quality rotary screens in the most sustainable way. It has a single step dry process which eliminates water consumption. The engraving workflow takes fewer steps, saving operating costs. And due to a fully digital process less human interaction is needed, this also reduces the reject rate of the production of engraved rotary screens.
MAPLE, featuring a powerful 250W laser source and integrated specially developed CAM software bestIMAGE, leads to increase productivity and higher levels of consistency as well as userfriendly workflows. Equipped with an automatic laser power calibration and a screen centring ring, perfect halftone graduation and register accuracy assure maximum level of repeatability, even with the highest mesh screens. The MAPLE is the ideal laser engraving system to achieve a high-quality printing result with strong performance – ideal for medium to large printers.

Defining and editing designs are simpler than ever using our bestIMAGE software. This modular and user-friendly CAD software, developed in-house, allows easy and efficient textile design development. The new software is an “open platform”, that is fully compatible with all SPGPrints pre-print textile systems, as well as a host of non SPGPrints engravers.
The are two ways to produce high-quality textile printing screens by using state-of-the-art direct laser engraving or laser exposing technology. These are two different pre-treatment processes with unique steps and advantages.
Direct Laser Engraving is a single-step dry process. Simply engrave your coated and polymerized screen with your desired design and print. This sustainable and simple process eliminates water usage and costly consumables like film or ink.
The laser exposing technology, a wet process, is requiring drying and water consumption, resulting in higher water and energy costs.
Key Takeaways:
Direct Laser Engraving is the easiest and most sustainable process for textile screen production and can greatly benefit your working process and the quality of your printed designs by reducing your carbon footprint in the pre-printing stage.
